Digital Preservation Planning
The British Library Conference Centre will host a briefing day on "Digital Preservation Planning: Principles, Examples and the Future with Planets" on July 29. Attendance is limited to 60 participants. Planets (the acronym is too strained to repeat) is a European project dedicated to digital preservation issues, and its primary goal is "to build practical services and tools to help ensure long-term access to our digital cultural and scientific assets."
I'm planning to head to that location, but a bit later in the year, for iPRES, the Fifth International Conference on Preservation of Digital Objects.
